Would you like to start a Sensational journey? Meant to Be Mine by Hannah Orenstein audiobook is just the right boo for you! Meant to Be Mine Audiobook is a story about love, soulmates, family and traditions. The writing is fantastic. Orenstein has a way with words that make you want to keep going. The way the author weaved in Jewish traditions was beautifully done. While Meant to Be Mine is a love story, it isn’t just your typical love story of Edie trying to find her soulmate. The love she has for her grandmother Gloria, to me was the real love story of the book. A must-read for this month.

Meant to Be Mine by Hannah Orenstein Audiobook Summary
From the author of Playing with Matches, a sweeping love story in the vein of Rebecca Serle and Chloe Benjamin about a woman who knows the date she’ll meet her true love—only he isn’t quite as perfect as she always imagined.
What if you knew exactly when you’d meet the love of your life? Edie Meyer knows. When her Grandma Gloria was a young woman, she had a vision of the exact day she would meet her soul mate—and then Grandpa Ray showed up.
Since then, Gloria has accurately predicted the day every single member of the family has met their match. Edie’s day arrives on June 24, 2022, when she’s twenty-nine years old. She has been waiting for it half her life. That morning, she boards an airplane to her twin sister’s surprise engagement, and when a handsome musician sits beside her, she knows it’s meant to be.
But fate comes with more complications than Edie expected and she can’t fight the nagging suspicion that her perfect guy doesn’t have perfect timing. After a tragedy and a shocking revelation rock Edie’s carefully constructed world, she’s forced to consider whether love chooses us, as simple as destiny, or if we choose it ourselves.
Meant to Be Mine by Hannah Orenstein Audiobook Review
Review From Goodreads by Melissa
“If your family had a magical shortcut to getting it right, you’d take it…”
Edie’s grandmother, Gloria, has a special gift: she has correctly prophesied the dates (month, day, and year!) when dozens of her family members will meet their soulmate. So when Edie’s “day” arrives, she’s ready to sink her claws into the first cute guy who looks her way and start off down the path toward happily-ever-after. But when Edie realizes that her feelings for Theo, her assumed “destined match,” don’t quite rise to the occasion, she’s left questioning whether there might be more to her future than just relying on fate.
“What if I was supposed to meet someone else that day? What if I’d actually be happier alone?”
I loved the concept of this book—the idea of fate / destiny / prophecy playing a role in helping relationships develop! It reminded me of books I’ve read by Rebecca Serle or Cecelia Ahern. And thematically, Meant to be Mine touched on some much heavier issues than your typical rom-com (grief, loss, tragedy, school shootings, political upheaval…). There’s much more to unpack here than a simple love story, which I appreciated.
“For the first time since Gloria predicted my date thirteen years ago, the only roadmap for my future is one I’ll have to create for myself.”
I did feel like Edie’s journey toward self-discovery led her down a very different path than I anticipated at the beginning of the book, and the way the story ended (like the last 10%) felt a little bit like an afterthought. Her final choice seemed to come out of nowhere, and didn’t really match up with where the early portions of the book were leading. So while I really enjoyed the majority of the book, I definitely wanted more from the ending. However, I always appreciate a rom-com that can surprise me, and this one definitely did! A 4-star read!
